Facial Fillers

What is Dermal Filler?

Dermal fillers are a non-surgical way to restore volume, smooth fine lines, and enhance your natural features. These injectable treatments typically use hyaluronic acid—a substance naturally found in the body—to add fullness and structure in areas like the cheeks, jawline, chin, under-eyes, and lips. Whether you're looking to define your profile, soften deep lines, or rejuvenate tired-looking skin, fillers offer subtle, natural-looking results with minimal downtime.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

The number of sessions depends on your goals and the area being treated. While some clients are happy with their results after one appointment, others may benefit from a series of treatments to build volume gradually and maintain balance. During your consultation, Shar will work with you to develop a personalized plan tailored to your facial structure and aesthetic goals.

What to Expect After Your Treatment

You can expect instant volume and definition, with results continuing to refine over the following days. Some mild swelling, tenderness, or bruising at the injection sites is normal and usually resolves within a few days. Most clients return to their normal routine right after treatment. Full results typically settle within 1–2 weeks and can last anywhere from 6 to 18 months depending on the area treated and the type of filler used.

Aftercare Tips

To support a smooth recovery and long-lasting results:

💋Avoid intense workouts or physical activity for 24 hours

💋Refrain from touching or massaging the treated area

💋Apply a clean ice pack if needed for swelling or bruising

💋Hold off on makeup for at least 24 hours

💋Skip alcohol and ibuprofen for 72 hours

💋No aspirin within 24 hours

💋Avoid saunas, sunbathing, or extreme heat for 48 hours

💋Follow all specific post-care instructions provided by Shar

Who Should Not Get Fillers?

Lip filler may not be recommended if you:

❌Are pregnant or breastfeeding

Have a known allergy to filler ingredients

Have a history of severe allergic reactions

Experience chronic skin or immune-related conditions

Have active infections or inflammation at the injection site

Have recently undergone facial surgery or trauma

Are under 18 years old

Botox

What Is Botox Used For?

Botox is a highly effective, non-surgical treatment that softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by gently relaxing the facial muscles that cause them. Using a purified form of botulinum toxin, Botox works by temporarily blocking nerve signals to targeted muscles—helping smooth out existing lines and prevent new ones from forming. At Shar The Nurse, Botox is commonly used to treat areas like forehead lines, crow’s feet, and frown lines. It can also be used to address concerns like excessive sweating, jaw clenching, and more.

What to Expect After Your Treatment

You may notice a refreshed, more youthful look as your skin becomes smoother and more relaxed. Results usually start to appear within 3 to 7 days, with full results settling in by two weeks. Minor redness, swelling, or tenderness around the injection site is normal and typically fades within 24–48 hours. The effects of Botox usually last 3–4 months, and regular maintenance treatments can help you keep that soft, natural look long-term.

Aftercare Tips

For best results and minimal side effects:

💉Avoid workouts, heat, or sweating for at least 24 hours

💉Hold off on makeup or skincare in the treated area for one day

💉Don’t rub, press, or massage the area for 24 hours

💉Avoid facials, chemical peels, or laser treatments for two weeks

💉Stay out of direct sun and tanning beds for 48 hours

💉Skip alcohol for at least 24 hours post-treatment

💉Follow any additional guidance from Shar after your appointment

Who Should Avoid Botox?

Botox may not be recommended if you:

❌Are pregnant or breastfeeding

Have a known allergy to botulinum toxin or its ingredients

Have an active skin infection near the injection site

Have a history of certain neurological conditions (such as ALS, myasthenia gravis, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome)

Experience difficulty swallowing or have a bleeding disorder

Recently had facial surgery or have a skin cancer diagnosis in the area

PRF

What Is PRF

PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is a next-level, all-natural treatment made directly from your own blood. After a quick and gentle blood draw, your blood is spun in a special centrifuge to separate the healing components—platelets, fibrin, and growth factors—into a nutrient-rich gel. This gel is then re-injected into areas of concern to stimulate collagen production, tissue repair, and deep rejuvenation.

Because it’s 100% you—no additives, chemicals, or synthetic ingredients—PRF is a safe and powerful option for natural skin renewal and anti-aging.

How It Works

Once injected, PRF slowly releases growth factors and proteins that encourage collagen production and tissue healing over time. It supports smoother texture, increased volume, and improved tone in areas prone to aging or dullness. It’s especially effective in delicate areas like the under-eyes and can also help address hair thinning, fine lines, scarring, and more.

What to Expect After Treatment

PRF is minimally invasive with very little downtime. After your session, you may experience slight swelling, redness, or minor bruising around the treated area, which typically subsides within a few days. Visible results unfold gradually over the next few weeks as your skin regenerates—leaving you with a fresher, firmer, and more radiant appearance.

Areas We Treat with PRF

PRF is incredibly versatile and can be used to treat:

🩸Under-eye hollows and dark circles

🩸Smile lines and nasolabial folds

🩸Acne scars and textural issues

🩸Thinning hair or hairline

🩸Neck, jawline, and hands

🩸Skin tone and pigmentation irregularities

Aftercare Tips

For best results and minimal side effects:

❗Avoid strenuous activity or heavy workouts for 24 hours

Skip anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen or aspirin for 48 hours

Do not massage or apply pressure to the treated area

Sleep on your back with your head elevated for several nights

Avoid sun exposure, saunas, and tanning for 1–2 weeks

Use cold compresses to manage swelling if needed

Refrain from facial treatments (waxing, facials, lasers) for at least 4 weeks

Always use sunscreen (SPF 40+) when outdoors

Avoid alcohol for 24 hours post-treatment

Facial Balancing

What is Facial Balancing?

Facial balancing is a personalized approach to aesthetics that uses strategically placed dermal fillers to enhance symmetry and proportion across the face. Rather than focusing on just one area (like lips or cheeks), this treatment looks at the face as a whole—working to ensure that each feature complements the others naturally.

At Shar The Nurse, we take a customized, less-is-more approach. The goal is not to change how you look, but to subtly refine your features—highlighting what’s already beautiful and restoring balance where volume or structure may have been lost.

What to Expect During the Treatment

After a full facial assessment with Shar, we’ll develop a customized plan that enhances your natural beauty while maintaining a soft, natural look. The procedure typically involves the use of hyaluronic acid-based fillers and is completed in under an hour. Numbing is available for comfort.

Aftercare Tips

For best results and minimal side effects:

❗Avoid touching or applying pressure to treated areas for 24 hours

Stay upright and avoid lying flat for at least 4–6 hours post-treatment

Refrain from vigorous exercise, alcohol, or saunas for 24–48 hours

Use ice packs to minimize swelling if needed

Skip makeup for the rest of the day post-treatment

Follow up with Shar for touch-ups or enhancements as needed

Who Should Facial Balancing?

Facial Balancing may not be recommended if you:

❌Individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding

Those with active skin infections or inflammation at the injection site

People with a history of severe allergic reactions to dermal fillers or lidocaine

Anyone with bleeding disorders or currently taking blood-thinning medications

Clients with autoimmune disorders that may affect healing

Individuals with unrealistic expectations or body dysmorphic tendencies

Those who have recently undergone major facial surgery or trauma

Anyone with active acne or cystic breakouts in the treatment area

People not ready to follow post-treatment aftercare guidelines
